cup milk
1 tbsp butter
2 eggs
1 cup sugar
1 cup flour
1 tsp baking powder
pinch of salt

Directions:
Directions:
Scald milk and add butter until melted. beat in 2 eggs until creamy. Add sugar a quarter cup at a time, beating hard after each addition. Sift the dry ingredients together and add warm milk with the dry ingredients. Beat like mad then add vanilla. Pour into a wax lined square pan or for jelly roll put in a cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes (20 minutes for jelly roll).
