2 pounds (32 ozs) lean ground beef
1⅓ cups ketchup, divided
3 tablespoons seasoned dry breadcrumbs
1 egg, lightly beaten
2 tablespoons dried onion flakes
teaspoon garlic salt
teaspoon black pepper
1 cup packed light brown sugar
1 can 6 ozs) tomato paste
cup reduced-sodium soy sauce
cup cider vinegar
1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
Sliced Green Peppers (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350F. Combine ground beef, ⅓ ketchup, bread crumbs, egg, onion flakes, garlic salt, and black pepper in a medium bowl. Mix lightly but thoroughly; shape into 1-inch meatballs.

Place meatballs in 2 (15x10 inch) jelly roll pans or shallow roasting pans. Bake 18 mins until browned. Transfer to Crock-Pot slow cooker.

Mix remaining 1 cup ketchup, brown sugar, tomato paste, soy suace vinegar, and hot pepper sauce in medium bowl, Cover; cook on LOW for 4 hours. Add bell pepper slices to mixture, if desired. Serve with cocktail picks. Makes about 4 dozen meatballs.
