Ingredients:  
6 c cooked turnip (wrap it in newspaper and microwave on baked potato setting, then peel it. OR, peel it then boil it.)
2 eggs
1 tsp pepper
2 c bread crumbs (homemade)
1/4 c butter
1/2 c brown sugar
3 T flour
1 tsp nutmeg
1 T baking powder

Directions:
Directions:
Mix and mash turnip and butter.
Add eggs. Blend well.
Mix sugar, flour, nutmeg and baking powder.
Pour into a casserole.
Cover with crumbs.
Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes.

In recent years I have omitted the butter and sugar and no one seems to notice.
