1 pound linguine
3 tablespoons butter (divided as 2 and 1)
1½ tablespoons Cajun seasoning
1 pound peeled large shrimp
½ cup diced yellow onion
½ cup diced green pepper
1 pound kielbasa sausage, sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1 teaspoon dried thyme
½ cup chicken stock
½ cup heavy cream
Cook linguine, drain and set aside
In the same pot, heat butter and add Cajun seasoning. Add shrimp and cook until shrimp are pink. Take out and set aside.
Add butter to same pot, add diced onion and green pepper. Cook for 3-5 minutes. Add sausage and cook another minute.
Add garlic, salt, red pepper flakes, and dried thyme.
When everything looks cooked, pour in chicken stock and heavy cream. Mix and cook for 3 minutes.
After sauce thickens, add shrimp and pasta
