One venison roast that fits in a slow cooker. Don't laugh. Some of those perfect cube things don't fit...
4-6 potatoes, cubed
2-4 carrots, cubed
3 onions, sliced
1 1/2 c beef stock
To smear on the roast:
3 T dijon mustard
1 T curry powder
2 tsp thyme
1 tsp oregano
1/3 c water
1/4 c flour

Brown roast in the frying pan - high heat. Probably still frozen at my house. :)
Put it in the slow cooker with potatoes, carrots, onion, sweet potato and beef stock.
Mix together dijon, curry powder, thyme and oregano. Spread over the roast.
Slow cook for 8-10 hours on low.
At the end use 1/3 c water, salt, pepper and 1/4 c flour to make gravy.

This is good for beef too.
