2 eggs
½ cup canola oil
2 cups white cornmeal
½ cup flour
½ teaspoon baking soda
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons sugar
1½ cups buttermilk

Directions:

Preheat oven to 500º
Bake 12 to 15 minutes, until brown
Spray 9"X13" pan with Pam

Beat eggs and oil until well incorporated; add and beat together other ingredients until smooth. Pour into prepared pan. Bake.

I followed my mother around her kitchen with measuring cups and spoons in order to figure out the amounts of each ingredient. She had repeated the process so many times that she didn't measure.
