1 box chocolate cake mix

Cream filling:
8oz cream cheese (softened)
1/3 cup sugar
1 egg
Dash of salt
1 6oz chocolate chips
Directions:

Mix cake mix according to package directions.

Cream together the cream cheese, sugar, egg, and salt. Fold in the chocolate chips.

Fill muffin cups 2/3 full with cake batter. Drop rounded teaspoon of the cream filling into each cupcake. Bake as cake package directs for cupcakes.

Mom would make these for birthdays, picnics, and summer treats! The "surprise" is hidden in the chocolate cupcake and SO delicious!
