1 c apricot nectar
1 c dried, chopped apricots
⅓ c raisins
1 tbsp grated orange peel
2 c flour
1 c sugar
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp solid shortening
1 egg
⅓ c light cream or whole milk
c chopped nuts


Directions:
Directions:
In large sauce pan combine and simmer first four ingredients for 5 minutes.
Pour into large mixing bowl, let cool.
No need to sift flour, lightly spoon into cup to measure.
Combine remaining ingredients and fruit mixture, mix on low speed for 3 minutes.
Pour into well greased 9x5 in loaf pans.
Bake at 325 for 80-90 minutes until toothpick comes out clean.
Remove from pan and drizzle with warm honey.
