1 cup brown sugar
1 cup shortening
½ cup honey
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
3 ½ cups flour
1 tsp. vanilla
2/3 cup chopped fruit or nut (optional)
Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar
Add honey and eggs and beat until smooth
Add dry ingredients and vanilla and mix
Bake at (Regular oven) 350° for 10-15 minutes, or (convection) bake at 325° for 10 minutes
