1 1/2 c. milk 2 pkgs. dry yeast
2 T sugar 4 c, flour
1 t. salt oil for frying
6 T. shortening sugar-cinnamon mixture

Directions:
Directions:
Heat together, but do not boil, milk, sugar, salt & shortening until shortening is melted; cool to lukewarm. Add yeast and stir until dissolved. Stir in flour, 2 c. at a time, beating until smooth after each attrition. Put in a greased bowl; turn to grease all sides. Cover with a damp cloth; let rise until double in size, about 30 min. Dust hands with flour. Pinch off dough in pieces the size of a golf ball. Stretch each ball into a thin 6-8 in. circle. Have oil hot, but not smoking, 350Degree. Drop stretched dough into oil šone at a time and fry until it rises to the surface. Turn and fry other side until it is light brown. Drain on paper towels and sprinkle generously with sugar-cinnamon mixture. Mix 1/2c. sugar with 1 t. cinnamon
