6 to 7 C stale bread cubes (French bread works well)
1 C heavy cream
2 C milk
3 large eggs
3/4 C brown sugar
2 tsp vanilla
3/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/8 tsp salt
1/4 c raisins
3 T. melted butter

Bourbon Sauce:
3 T whipping cream
1 stick butter
1 C sugar
1/2 C bourbon

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place milk in bowl and add bread cubes to soak. In separate bowl whisk together eggs, cream, brown sugar, vanilla and spices. Pour over the bread mixture and stir to combine. Add raisins. Pour melted butter into 9 X 13 in. baking pan, coating bottom and sides. Put bread and egg mixture into pan. Bake until firm, approx. 45-50 mins.
Sauce:
Melt butter in small saucepan over medium heat. Whisk in remaining ingredients. Simmer until thickened, whisking often. Cool slightly.

Serve bread pudding with bourbon sauce to be added as desired.
