1 lb ground beef
⅓ C bread crumbs
chopped onions
1 egg, beaten
salt and pepper to taste
2 C beef broth
1 Large onion thinly sliced
1 C sliced mushrooms
3 T cornstarch
3 T water

Directions:
Directions:
1. Combine beef, bread crumbs, chopped onion, egg and salt and pepper. Shape into four patties.

2. Fry patties in large skillet until browned on both sides. Add broth, sliced onion and mushrooms. Bring to a boil then reduce heat to low, cover and simmer until they are no longer pink. Remove patties from pan.

3. Bring broth to a boil. Mix cornstarch and water. Stir into the broth. Stir until thickened.

4. Return patties to pan and spoon gravy over the tops.
