½ c. sugar
1 T. cornstarch
4 c. berries
1 tsp. lemon juice
1 c. flour
1 T. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
3 T. shortening
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400º

Blend sugar and cornstarch in medium sized saucepan.
Stir in berries and juice.
Cook on medium heat until mixture thickens and boils.
Boil and stir 1 minute.
Pour into a greased 2 qt. casserole.
Mix dry ingredients in bowl.
Cut in shortening.
Add milk.
Drop in spoonfuls on hot berries.
Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes.
