4 cups diced potatoes
4 cups water
4 cups whole milk (or 3 cups whole milk and 1 cup heavy cream)
2 T. chicken Better than Boullion
1 cup diced celery
1 cup diced onions
1 stick butter
instant potato flakes
salt and pepper to taste
parsley


grated cheese
crumbled bacon
sliced green onions

Directions:
Directions:
Boil potatoes, celery, and onions in water seasoned with salt and pepper, butter and boullion until almost tender. Add milk and cook slowly until liquid is reduced by about a third. Add potato flakes slowly until desired thickness is obtained. Sprinkle with chopped parsley . Serve with condiments that can be sprinkled on top of the soup.
