1 LB. round steak sliced into thin strips.
1 onion, cut into quarters
1 bell pepper, sliced into thin strips
2 T. oil
1 T. minced garlic
3-5 T. soy sauce, to taste
Cornstarch (mix 2-3 T. cornstarch into 1/4 cup water)
3-4 cups hot rice

Saute meat in oil until browned.. Add 3-4 cups water, soy sauce (start with 4 T and add as desired once the dish is completed) and onions. Cook until meat is tender and water has cooked down some. Add bell pepper and cook for 3-4 minutes (or until pepper is as tender as you like it). Make the slurry of cornstarch and water and add to mixture slowly stirring until the sauce thickens to your liking. Stir well and if not thick enough, repeat cornstarch/water. Adjust flavor with soy sauce if desired. Serve over hot rice.
