Dough


Ingredients:

½ c lukewarm water
¾ yeast cake or active dry yeast packet
2 c milk
1 c butter or Crisco
1 c sugar
1 tsp salt
3 eggs
8 c flour

Directions:
Directions:
Disolve yeast in lukewarm water.
Add butter, sugar, and salt to lukewarm milk, stir gently until melted.
Add eggs to cooled milk mixture.
Add flour, mix all together , knead until smooth.
Let raise 1 ½ hs in warm place, divide into 4 parts, roll out each and fill.
Brush with egg yolk mixed with a little water.
Bake at 350º for 20 minutes.

1 lb (4 c) ground walnuts
1 c sugar
1/2 c honey
2 egg whites beaten
enough milk and butter to make filling spreadable
Poppy Seed:
1 lb poppy seed
1 egg
1 1/2 c sugar
1 tsp vanilla
enough milk and butter to make filling spreadable

Directions:
Directions:
Combine all ingredients, add enough warm milk and butter to create a good spreadable consistency, not runny.
