4 Cloves Garlic
1 c. milk
4 Tbsp butter
1/2 c. flour
2 c. chicken broth
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 c. grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 c. heavy cream (Optional)

Directions:
Directions:
In a saucepan, melt butter with garlic until bubbling. Add flour and stir well with wooden spoon to create a roux- cook for several minutes, not letting it brown. slowly add broth until a smooth sauce is created. Add milk, continuously stirring while sauce simmers. Add spices and cook sauce on low for 10 minutes, stirring frequently. while sauce is hot, add Parmesan and stir until fully incorporated and melted. Add cream if desired and adjust seasonings to taste.

I usually substitute the heavy cream with same amount of evaporated milk (for slightly healthier option). Great for pastas and chicken.
