2 cup | sifted flour
1 tsp | baking powder
tsp | salt
tsp | nutmeg
1 tsp | grated lemon rind
cup | butter or shortening
1 cup | sugar
2 eggs | beaten well
1 TBLS | rich milk or cream

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour, baking powder, salt and nutmeg. Add lemon rind to butter and cream and mix thoroughly. Add sugar gradually. Cream together until light and fluffy. Add eggs and cream. Beat thoroughly. Add flour gradually, mixing well. Chill until firm enough to roll. Then roll to thick on a floured board. Cut with a floured cookie cutter. Bak on an ungreased cookie sheet at 400 degrees for 10 minutes.
