Ingredients:  
1 cup | sugar
2 1/3 cup | dates
1 cup | water
1 cup | chopped nuts
2 cup | brown sugar
3 | eggs
4 cup | flour
tsp | salt
tsp | baking soda
1 cup | shortening

Directions:
Directions:
Cut dates with knife. Cook at medium heat, stirring constantly. Cook until dates are soft. Then cool. Mix all ingredients together into a soft dough. Roll then put in filling. Chill in ice-box (freezer). Slice. Cook at 350 degrees until light brown.
