1 cup butter
1 cup white sugar
½ cup brown sugar
1 egg, well beaten
1 ½ cups oatmeal
¾ cup coconut
1 tsp vanilla
1 ½ cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
Chocolate chips (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, brown sugar, and white sugar. Add well beaten egg and vanilla. Mix well. Add oatmeal and coconut. Mix well. Add flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Mix well. Roll into balls (size of walnuts) and place on ungreased cookie sheet about 3" apart. Bake at 350º for 15 minutes.
