2 sticks butter
1 3/4 c. sugar
6 eggs
1 c. plain flour
1 c. self rising flour
2 tsp vanilla

Bake at 325 for 45 minutes



Lemon Filling

1/2 c. lemon juice
lemon zest
1 c. sugar
1 1/4 c. milk
1 egg
5 tlbs. flour
pinch salt
1/2 stick butter

Blend and cook in double boiler

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar, flour, milk egg and butter in double boiler. Cook until thick stirring constantly. Remove from head and add lemon juice and rind. Mix well and place on heat and cook until bubbles. Cook slightly and spread on cake.
