One single crust pie dough recipe

Mix until well blended:

2 cups cooked or canned pumpkin
1 1/2 cups undiluted evaporated milk or rich cream
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 teas salt
1 teas cinnamon
1/2 teas ginger
1/4 teas nutmeg
1/8 teas cloves
2 slightly beaten eggs

Directions:

pour the mixture into the unbaked pie shell. Bake 15 minutes at 425, then reduce heat to 350 and bake about 45 minutes longer or until a knife inserted into the middle comes out clean.

Serve with sweetened whipped cream

I have always used canned pumpkin and evaporated milk, but know if you can get either of those things.

Also, the cooking time has always been a LOT longer than the directions say....
