cup butter
cup sugar
1 cups flour
2 eggs, separated
1 tsp baking powder
Vanilla
1 cup dates
cup water, boiling
1 cup brown sugar
Walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Mix butter, sugar, flour, egg yolks, baking powder, and vanilla, and press into pan. Cook dates and water. Slightly cool; then put dates into pan. Beat egg whites with brown sugar and sprinkle with walnuts. Bake 20 minutes at 325.
