English Almond Toffee Recipe

Ingredients:  
Ingredients:  
5 sticks butter
2 cups sugar
1-1/3 cups water
2 tsp salt

Mix these ingredients and bring to boil, stirring constantly.

Then heat to 236 without stirring.

Add 2-2/3 cups slivered almonds

Stir constantly until it reaches 300

Add 1 tsp baking soda, stir

Pour into buttered cookie sheet, sop up any excess butter

Pour 1 lb bag chocolate chips on top, allow to melt, then spread

Sprinkle chopped pecans on top and allow to cool
