1 large head red cabbage
1 large onion
1 medium tart apple
⅓ cup red currant jelly
¼ cup red wine
1 Tablespoon butter
¼ cup garlic flavored red wine vinegar
1 whole bay leaf
4 whole cloves
1 teaspoon salt

Directions:
Directions:
Chop cabbage very fine, slice onions into thin rings. Core apples, slice into thin slices, leaving the skin on. Turn all the above ingredients into a heavy skillet with a tight lid. Stir in jelly, wine,vinegar, butter, bay leaf, cloves and salt. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes or until apple is tender.
