6 slices white bread
butter or margarine
1 lb Jimmy Dean Hot Sausage
6 oz shredded cheddar cheese
6 eggs, beaten
2 cups Half and Half
1 tsp salt
1 4 oz can green chilis, chopped and drained

Directions:
Directions:
Remove crusts from bread; spread bread slices with butter. Place in a greased 13"x9"x2" baking dish and set aside. (Cut strips of bread to completely cover bottom of pan.)
Cook sausage until browned, stirring to crumble; drain well. Spoon over bread slices; sprinkle with cheese. Combine eggs, half and half, salt and chopped green chilis over casserole and chill overnight.
Remove from refrigerator 15 minutes before baking. Bake, uncovered, at 350 for 45 minutes or until set.
