Fresh Apple Cookies Recipe

C. Shortening
⅓ C. Brown Sugar
1 Egg
2 C. Flour
1 tsp Baking Soda
tsp mSalt
1 tsp Cinnamon
tsp Nutmeg
C. Walnuts
1 C. finely chopped Apples
1 C. Raisins

2 Tbsp Milk
1 Tbsp Butter
tsp Vanilla

Cream together shortening and brown sugar, add egg.
Mix together flour, soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
Add half of dry mixture to shortening mix.
Stir in walnuts, apples, and raisins.
Mix well and add remaining half of dry ingredients.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet, 2" apart.
Bake at 400 for 9-12 minutes.
Brush with vanilla glaze.
