Ingredients:  
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
1 cup shortening
2 eggs
3 cups flour
2 tsp cream of tartar
2 tsp baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugars, mix in egg. Sift dry ingredients and add to cream mixture. Form into balls the size of walnuts. Roll in granulated sugar. Bake at 350 F for 10 minutes.
