1 loaf French bread, medium size
6 Tbsp. softened butter
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
1 Tbsp fresh grated parsley or cilantro (1 1/2 Tbsp. dried can be substituted)

Directions:
Directions:
Cut loaf of French bread lengthwise with a bread knife. Spread the cut loaf with the softened butter and sprinkle with the cheese and parsley/cilantro. Brown under the broiler until the cheese is bubbly and slightly golden.

May be cut into pieces for cheese fondue (recipe included in cookbook).
