1/2 cup green pepper and 1/2 onion, sauteed
1 lb ground hamburger
1 cup cooked rice
Two tablespoons minced garlic,
1/2 cup Italian cheese blend (or mozzarella, Swiss, Munster any white cheese you have in your fridge will be delicious)
1 teaspoon salt,
1 teaspoon pepper,
1 teaspoon basil,
1 teaspoon Sage
Mixed with hands

sauce:
2 (15oz) Tomato sauce
1/4 brown sugar
1 Tsp vinegar

Saute 1/2 cup finely chopped green pepper and 1/2 cup finely chopped white onion

Boil large pot of salt water and submerged chord head of cabbage for a few minutes. Take out and set on counter.
Remove cabbage leaves (you should have around 8 leaves) Get handful of feeling and roll like a eggroll put in casserole dish.

Sauce: on stove top add 2 (15 oz) tomato sauce. 1/4 cup brown sugar 1 teaspoon vinegar. Cook for a few minutes and pour over cabbage rolls. Bake covered in tin foil for 1 hour. We like it served with mashed potatoes or mashed cauliflower.
