2 Tablespoons corn starch
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard (optional)
2 1/2 cups milk
2 tablespoons margarine
2 cups crated cheddar cheese (old is good)
1 cup macaroni cooked for about 6 minutes and drained
1 bay leaf (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Combine corn starch, salt, pepper and mustard in a saucepan. Stir in milk until smooth. If using a bay leaf, add it at this point. Add margarine stirring constantly bring to a boil over a medium heat, continue to boil and stir for 1 minute. Remove from heat. If using a bay leaf, remove it at this point. Reserve 1/4 cup of cheese for topping, then stir remaining cheese into milk mixture until melted. Add macaroni noodles stir until combined. Pour into greased baking dish top with remaining cheese. Warm in oven.
