1 1/2 tsp. salt
2 T. Butter
1 T. Shortening
1 egg yolk
1/2 c. water
3 c. flour

Directions:
Directions:
Cut butter and shortening into the flour. Add all the other ingredients to the flour. If the dough is too sticky, add a bit more flour. If the dough is too dry, add a bit more water, a tablespoon at a time till dough holds together well. Roll out thin, cut in strips. Pierce the pieces with a fork or knife so they don't "pillow" too much while frying. Fry in hot oil till crispy on both sides. Drain and serve with your choice of meal or condiment.
