1 large diced onion
1 lb ground beef
2 lbs Italian sausage
48 oz jug tomato juice
2 tbsp Italian spice blend
2 lbs shredded mozzarella
Salt to taste

If you want more tangy sauce, add 1 can tomato paste.

Directions:
Sauté onions in 1 tbsp vegetable oil until golden. Brown beef and sausage together with onions. Pour in tomato juice and Italian spice blend.

In large 11 x 15 pan, pour in enough sauce at bottom to cover pan. Then layer repeatedly until at top of pan: uncooked noodles, sauce, cheese. Cover with foil and place on a Texas baking sheet to prevent spills. Bake at 250 for 3 hours.
