2 lbs. of sausage links
1 large can tomato paste
1 large can tomatoes
2 carrots
2 stalk celery
1 small onion
1 tsp. sugar
2 Tbsp. fresh parsley
2 tsp. sweet basil
1 bay leaf
1 garlic clove (crushed)
2 Tbsp. Parmesan cheese
1 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. oregano
1 tsp. crushed red pepper

Hot cooked pasta

Directions:
Fry sausage until brown on outside and cut into 1 inch pieces. Set aside.

Put tomato paste, 1 can water (from tomato paste), canned tomatoes, carrots, celery, and onion into blender and blend until smooth. Pour into pot and add remaining ingredients (except pasta). Bring to boiling and reduce heat and simmer for 2-3 hours. Add sausage to sauce during last hour of cooking.

Pour over hot cooked pasta.

Makes 6-8 servings.
