1 pound lean ground beef
1 package onion soup mix
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 cup water
1 cup instant rice (uncooked)
1 onion
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Brown the ground beef and onion in a skillet over medium-high heat; drain off any excess grease.
Combine the beef and onions with the onion soup mix, cream of mushroom soup, water, and rice until mixed.
Pour into a casserole dish and bake, covered, at 350 degrees F for 1 hour or until rice is cooked.
Uncover and sprinkle with cheese. Put back in oven until cheese is melted. Serve hot.
