1 1/2 to 1 3/4 diced pork, chicken or beef
2 Tablespoon fat
6 Tablespoon soy sauce or Braggs amino acids
1 cup water
1 large bunch of celery, cut in 1/2 inch pieces
1 small onion, chopped
16 oz sliced mushrooms
2 pkgs bean sprouts
2 Tablespoon cornstarch
1/4 cup water
Salt and pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Brown meat in hot fat; add soy sauce and 1 cup of water; simmer 2 minutes.

Add celery and onion; simmer 1 hour. Add sprouts and mushrooms, simmer 30 more minutes.

In a jar, blend corn starch and 1/4 cup water; stir into mixture. heat through and season to taste with salt, pepper and more soy sauce.

This is an old recipe I found in a 1950’s Betty Crocker cook book.

A 2 oz can of drained mushrooms and 2 1/2 cups canned bean sprouts were the original recipe.
