Ingredients:
Ingredients:
Crust:
¼ c. butter, melted, or more as needed
1 pkg. Oreos, finely crushed
½ gallon vanilla ice cream

Fudge Sauce:
1½ c. sugar
6 Tbsp. cocoa
dash salt
1 12 oz. can evaporated milk
¼ c. butter
2 tsp. vanilla

1 oz. Creme de Cocoa
1 lg. Cool Whip

Directions:
Directions:
I use a food processor to crush Oreos.
Combine melted butter and Oreo crumbs till well mixed. Press just over half of the crumbs into a 9 x 13" pan. Place in freezer. Take ice cream out of the freezer and let soften. I stirred mine up about every 15 min. till it is spreadable. Spread softened ice cream on top of frozen crust.

Homemade Hot Fudge Sauce: (this makes more than you'll need)
Combine sugar, cocoa, and salt in a large saucepan. Slowly stir in the evaporated milk. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Cook and stir for 5-6 minutes, or until thickened. Remove from heat and stir in butter and vanilla. Stir till butter melts. Cool slightly before storing........Pour Fudge Sauce on top of ice cream.

Now: Add 1 oz. Creme de Cocoa to large Cool Whip. Spread on top. Cover with foil and freeze for several hours or till firm. Remove from freezer 15 min. before serving, sprinkle remaining Oreo crumbs on top of cake. Cut into squares. Serves 16-20

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Family favorite made by my Aunt Ruth, my mother's sister. I found this on the back of her recipe and wanted to share this with you; "A special friend always leaves a footprint on your heart." "You may not be together all the time, but the memories you've shared together will always bring a smile to your face, wherever you may be."

This recipe was also a favorite of Brooxie Teeters, to bring to Sunday lunches!
