2 cups of ham cut into small pieces
5 lbs of baking potatoes peeled and diced
1 stick of butter ( not margarine)
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup of half - and - half
1/2 cup sour cream

Directions:
Directions:
Boil potatoes in large pot with just enough water to cover them. Bring to a boil and then cook on medium - high for about 20 minutes. Reduce heat and add ham and butter. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Remove some of liquid from the pot and in a separate bowl whisk liquid, half - and - half , and sour cream together. Add the mixture back to pot and stir. Keep warm over low heat until serving.
