8 T olive oil
1 – 1 ¼ cup chopped onions
1 # ground beef
½ # ground pork (or pork chops or 3 Italian sausages)
Salt and pepper to taste
6 cups home frozen tomatoes, skinned, blended and strained plus 1 can of store bought sauce
¾ cup red wine (burgundy)
½ tsp sugar
2 med cloves garlic – minced
4 basil leaves
1/3 can tomato paste
1 cup chopped parsley

Directions:
Directions:
Sauté onions in oil. Add beef and pork. Continue to sauté. Add salt and pepper. Then add tomatoes. Add wine, sugar, basil, parsley and garlic. Add paste. Bring to boil. Lower temperature and simmer approx. 2-3 hours with lid ½ way on.
