2 sticks butter
1/2 c. vegetable shortening
3 c. sugar
5 eggs
1 tsp. lemon extract
3 c. all purpose flour
7 oz. 7up

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and shortening with sugar.
Add eggs 1 at a time, beating well after each additions.
Add lemon extract.
Add 7up and flour alternately, beating well after each addition.
Bake in a greased and floured tube pan at 300 degrees for 1 1/2 hours, or until cake tests done.
