Ingredients:
1 package of Krusteaz Buttermilk Pancake Mix (Light and Fluffy)

Directions:
Directions:
Follow package directions to make as much batter as you need.

If making waffles, add additional mix to make a thicker batter. If batter is too thick, add a little water.

TIPS:
Mix the batter in a large measuring cup with a pouring spout.

Start the waffle iron 30 minutes before cooking to eliminate hot spots on the iron.

Brush the griddle (top and bottom) with olive oil, before covering with batter.

Pour batter onto the waffle griddle, leaving room for expansion when the lid is closed.

Personal Notes:
Everyone in the family has enjoyed "Granddaddy's Wonderful Waffles". They were always early morning treats on weekends or week-long summer visits. This recipe was requested by many family members and Grandaddy had a big smile on his face when asked to share "his" recipe. Now we know!
His "top secret" recipe was Krusteaz Buttermilk mix. No matter the source, his waffles were legendary.
But the real secret for success was the three legged waffle iron and they were always made with LOVE.

**When the time arrives, the three legged waffle iron will go to the grandchild who draws the longest straw!!!
Granddaddy says a canning jar ring makes a great fourth leg.
