(1 pkg active dry yeast)
(Lukewarm water)
4 c flour
1 tsp soda
3 T sugar
1 tsp salt
3 tsp baking powder
1 c shortening
2 c buttermilk

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve 1 package of yeast in lukewarm water (according to packet instructions). Sift and mix all dry ingredients. Cut shortening into dry mixture. Pour buttermilk into yeast mixture, mix well and stir into dry ingredients. Roll out thin, cut with biscuit cutter, dip in melted butter and fold over. Let rise in pan covered with cloth for approximately 2 hours. Bake at 400˚F until desired brown(n)es (golden brown).
