"As viscous as motor oil swirled in a swamp, redolent of burnt bell peppers nested in by incontinent mice and a finish reminiscent of the dregs of a stale can of Coca-Cola that someone has been using as an ashtray. Not a bad drink, though."--Excerpt from "The Moose Turd Wine Tasting" by T. A. Nonymous

Christmas is all in your heart!

The Blaze on the Hearth
Coming in from the cold winds of winter
with ice crystals formed everywhere...
what a welcome retreat
to put up your feet
and rest in a warm, easy chair...
When the day's been exceedingly busy
when the snowdrifts are way past your knees...
the most welcoming sight
is the warm glow of light
and a hot supper made just to please...
When the winter wind whistles in darkness
and snowflakes are damp on the scarf...
what a blessing to see
home is waiting for me
with a warm, cheery blaze on the hearth.
