Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Doris and Cliff Grotz, of Callao, Virginia, are so dear to our family! Doris has made this pound cake so many times for our family over the years: for my dad’s reception when he became Grand Master; whenever Danny and I visited Montross; and while I was recovering from surgery, to name just a few. This is hands down Danny’s favorite pound cake. Whenever I make it, he admonishes me to make it “just like Doris”! Now that she no longer bakes, I feel honored to carry on her tradition of cake baking, and I endeavor to pour just as much love into every batch as she did.
