2 lbs. frozen hash browns
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 can cream of chicken soup
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup melted butter
1 tsp. salt
1 cup sour cream

Directions:
Directions:
In a 9 x 13 greased dish, pour thawed hash browns. Mix butter, onion, salt, pepper, sour cream, soup, milk and cheddar cheese. Pour over hash browns and mix. Sprinkle 2 cups cornflake crumbs with 1/4 cup melted butter over top (if desired). Bake a 350º for 1 hour. Serves 8

I first had this at Easter one time at a friend's house. I have loved it ever since. You can make it ahead of time and slip it into the oven. Everyone loves it.
