10 lb lean beef round steak or beef brisket, chopped into small cubes
2 lb fresh ground pork
4 large white onion, chopped fine
1 bunch green onions, chopped fine (include tops)
1½ whole garlic bulbs, chopped fine
6 oz Ortega hot green chilies, chopped fine
4 Tbsp Wesson oil
4 Tbsp black pepper
3 Tbsp cumin
pinch of salt
pinch of oregano
½ tsp dry mustard
2 bottles (2 oz size) Durkee chili powder
1½ tsp brown sugar
3 Tbsp horseradish
1½ cans (15 oz size) Hunts tomato sauce
15 oz Hunts whole tomatoes
3 beef bouillon cubes
3 dried red peppers, crushed
2 cans (30 oz size) hot chili beans, include juice

Directions:
Directions:
Use a 12 quart stock pot for this chili as it makes a lot! Brown beef, pork and onions in oil. Add rest of ingredients.
Simmer covered for 4 hours, stirring occasionally (except for last 10 minutes). Add beans during last ½ hour of cooking.

Dennis won 1st place at the 1982 ALCOA Chili cook off contest in Newburgh, IN with this recipe!
It is a thick and spicy chili. You can make a half recipe for a smaller pot of chili.
