1⅓ c flour, sifted
½ tsp salt
½ c Crisco
3 Tbsp cold water

Preheat oven to 425º. Sift flour before measuring, spoon lightly into measuring cup an level without shaking or packing own. Combine flour an salt into a mixing bowl. With a pastry blender or 2 knives, cut into the Crisco until uniform; mixture should be fairly course. Sprinkle with water a tablespoon at a time and tow with a fork. Work dough into a firm ball with your hands. Press dough into a flat circle with smooth edges. On a lightly floured surface, roll dough to a circle about 1½ inches larger than an inverted pie plate. Gently ease dough into the plate. Be careful not to stretch the dough. Trim edges and pinch to decorate. Lightly prick the bottom an sides of the dough be careful not to go completely through the dough. Bake in oven for 10-15 minutes or until browned as desired.
