Ingredients: 3 bags Pepperidge Farm Chessmen cookies 6 to 8 bananas, sliced 2 cups milk or what is required to prepare pudding 2 (5-ounce) or 1 family size box instant French vanilla pudding 2 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened 2 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk 2 Tablespoons Frangelico or Brandy (Optional) ½ cup cream of coconut (Optional) ½ cup sweetened coconut (Optional) 2 (12-ounce) or one large container frozen whipped topping thawed, or equal amount sweetened whipped cream

Directions:Line the bottom and sides of a 13 by 9 by 2-inch dish with cookies and layer bananas on top. In a bowl, combine the milk and pudding mix and blend well using an electric mixer. Using another bowl, combine the cream cheese and condensed milk together and mix until smooth. Fold the whipped topping into the cream cheese mixture. Add the cream cheese mixture to the pudding mixture and stir until well blended. Pour the mixture over the cookies and bananas and cover with the remaining cookies. Refrigerate a couple of hours to set the pudding layer or until ready to serve. |

Notes: I add two Tablespoons of Frangelico or brandy to the pudding mix if I feel inclined to make it go “BAM.” I save the whipped topping to go on top as the final layer and garnish with lime or lemon zest.
