1 stick butter
1 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
¾ c. milk
3 c. peaches
½ c. sugar

Preheat oven to 350º. Melt stick of butter in bottom of a 2 quart casserole dish. Whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and milk. to make the batter. Pour batter over the melted butter. DO NOT stir. Cover batter with sliced peaches (I sometimes also add about a ½ c. raspberries, blackberries, or blueberries for extra color or flavor. Sprinkle top with about a ½ c. of sugar. Bake at 350º for about 45 minutes until batter is done.

This is one of our go to desserts! Everyone loves it, and it is especially tasty when Palisade peaches are in season. Cooking time may vary depending on depth of your casserole dish. We usually serve it with vanilla ice cream on top.
