1/2 cup sugar
4 Granny Smith apples---peeled, corred, and sliced

1. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat; stir in sugar. Add apples and cook until apples are soft.
2. Reduce heat and let apples brown and sugar/butter to thicken.
3. Serve with biscuits.

Every meal Nanny and Poppy prepared included fried apples: breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They are delicious! I've experimented with different apples, and the Granny Smith are the best. Also, you don't have to peel them--some people prefer them that way. I like them peeled, though!
